Abu Dhabi Municipality Electronic Archive

Led quality control for the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City’s electronic archive digitisation project. Designed metadata taxonomy, audited records management processes, implemented AIIM-compliant governance standards across thousands of municipal records.

Abu Dhabi Municipality needed to digitize and govern thousands of municipal records while meeting AIIM international archival standards. The existing paper-based system lacked consistent metadata, making retrieval slow and audit compliance difficult.

We designed and implemented an AIIM-certified metadata taxonomy, audited records management processes, and established quality control workflows. The governance framework covered classification schemes, retention schedules, and access controls for 10,000+ users across municipal departments.

Achieved 99.2% compliance with AIIM governance standards across the full municipal archive. The system now serves 10,000+ users with consistent, searchable records and passed all external audit requirements.
